It encompasses the world’s largest tropical wetland, which is declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and considered the paradise for animal lovers. The Pantanal is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, not limited only to birdlife, including jaguars, caimans, giant river otters, and many others. The region is also inhabited by indigenous communities, local ranchers, and tourism operators, making it a popular destination for ecotourism.
