...For many people, CDs, DVDs, books, tapes and other physical media are becoming a thing of the past. Today you can download movies, music, television shows and books from the internet with-out leaving your home. You can also get new apps and games for your computer very easily, without ever having to step into a store. This workshop walks you through how to join that revolution. To attend this workshop you must have at least basic skills on the device you will be bringing to the class. Please note you must bring your own fully charged device, charger, a notepad and pen.
Prerequisite: Attendance in 'Tech Savvy Seniors: Intro to the Internet Parts 1 and 2' (or equivalent knowledge)
The Tech Savvy Seniors program (held in partnership with the NSW Government and Telstra) delivers government-funded digital literacy training to seniors (aged 60 years and above) and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander elders (aged 50 years and above) who have little or no experience in using technologies or require additional skills and confidence to use and adapt to new technologies, so they can develop the skills and confidence to access information and services online, or connect with family and friends.
DELIVERY MODE

- Download and install Apple Music (formerly known as iTunes)*
- Choose and download your media (for e.g. music, movies, TV shows, podcasts or audiobooks)
- View or listen to your downloads
- Downloading other apps
* Apple Music is an app that can be downloaded from Apple's 'App Store' or Google's 'Play Store'. You first have to download the app, install it, then create an account with Apple Music. There is both free and paid media on Apple Music. If you want to download any paid media, you will need a credit card. This workshop, we’ll show you how you can pay for media, although you won’t have to actually buy anything!
