Chris Puplick AM served as a Senator for New South Wales and member of the Shadow Cabinet. He represented Australia at meetings of the UN General Assembly, the World Health Organisation and the International Whaling Commission. After Parliament he served as the Anti-Discrimination and Privacy Commissioner for NSW and as a member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. He has extensive interests in history, prison reform and theatre and is the author of five books and over 90 published articles. He was awarded membership of the Order of Australia for his leading role in the Australian national response to HIV/AIDS.
