This course is for students who have complete Arabic Beginners 3 or an equivalent of approx. 60 hours of prior knowledge and is an introduction to Arabic for any student wishing to learn the language for business, travel, or everyday use. Students will develop skills to use in conversation, reading, listening, and writing. Conversational Arabic and an introduction to cultural practices with a focus on clear explanations of basic language principles. Students will learn some basic Grammar, numbers, letters and their corresponding symbols in English Students are provided with booklet by teacher that provide varied resources and information for both business and personal use in the Arabic language.

COURSE OUTLINE

  • Conversational Arabic focus on clear explanations of basic language principles.
  • Tips for learning Vocabulary.
  • Arabic alphabet and Pronunciation of Arabic alphabet writing, customs, and etiquette.
  • More practise for Introducing oneself and social conversation Identifying a language and getting to know others.
  • Basic Grammar short and long vowels in Arabic and Grammar Word order - where to place the adjective.
  • Reading for Comprehension
  • Numeracy Times of the day, count to 1-100
  • Communicating in the classroom and tips for active learning.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Pronounce clearly and be understood in basic Arabic using well-rehearsed phrases to talk about them and exchange basics with others.
  2. Demonstrate the skills, language and attitudes required for further study of Arabic.
