Following on from the course on Botanical Artists, this two-hour course includes new material about botanical artists from the Victorian era - including Marianne North and Margaret Forrest. Learn about the influences of Romantic artists such as Caspar David Friedrich, as well as the political and social climate of the time. The course will show how today’s landscape and nature artists are influenced by these Victorian artists – such as William Robinson today.
