- The Living Plant
- Soil - types, analysis, soil testing, improvement
- Potting mixes, fertilizers
- Plants for sun, shade, dry, wet, privacy, fragrance, allergies
- Maintenance - watering, fertilizing, pruning, staking
- Pest and disease control
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
- Identify plant requirements, analyse different soil types and choose suitable containers and potting mixes
- Recognise preferred plant locations
- Implement correct watering, pruning, staking and fertilizing practices
- Control pests and diseases without chemicals
