...The "Silk Roads" is a term that conjures images of romance and the exotic. And it was all of that. But it was more. It joined the East and the West for over 2,000 years. It was a conduit, not just of goods and wealth, but of ideas and cultures. It died with the Age of Exploration but the effects of it still live today, and there are thousands of kilometres of sites and treasures. This course looks at the history of the Silk Roads.
