This is an adventure to some of the great forests of the world: the Congo, Tanzania, Rwanda and Borneo in the footsteps of three great women conservationists: Jane Goodall, Dian Fossey and Birute Galdikas. Learn about the rare plants and animals in these jungles and the stories and myths of these incredible places. Plus, hear about the primates they observed: chimps, gorillas and orangutans which these three women - all 'disciples' of the paleo-anthropologist Louis Leakey - were instrumental in helping to protect.

DELIVERY MODE

  • Gorillas in the Mist, Dian Fossey, 1963
  • The Book of Hope; A Survival Guide for Trying Times, Jane Goodall, 2021
  • Reflections of Eden, Birute Galdikas, 1996

COURSE OUTLINE

  • Learn about four great forests of the world
  • Listen to what inspired these women to study and work in these far-away jungles so far from their own homes
